SALSTHON, the annual student-led fundraising initiative organized by Salesianum, Padua, and Ursuline high schools, has selected Read Aloud Delaware as its 2025 beneficiary.

Over the past 10 years, SALSTHON has raised more than $1.8 million for local non-profit organizations.

SALSTHON, which stands for Students About Life Saving, brings together students from these three schools to support a worthy cause each year.

“We are beyond excited and grateful to be chosen as the 2025 SALSTHON beneficiary,” said James Spadola, executive director of Read Aloud Delaware. “This incredible opportunity will allow us to expand our reach and provide more children with the gift of literacy, empowering them to succeed in school and beyond.”

Read Aloud Delaware will use the funds raised to purchase and outfit a bookmobile as a community literacy and book resource. This mobile unit will bring books, reading materials, and literacy programming to underserved areas.

The fundraising efforts leading up to SALSTHON 2025 will include various events and student-led activities, all culminating in an exciting marathon-style event in March.
