First State officials emphasize that an informed vote is a powerful vote, and encourages the public to use their vote and take action to improve Delaware’s schools.
They point out that the board holds a lot of power – from selecting a superintendent to setting annual goals, approving budgets, and crafting policies – they directly shape the direction of education in the First State.
In previous years, First State Educate’s forums are structured like a Q and A, where event organizers ask candidates a series of questions on hot topic education issues.
