Live updates: Judge orders defendants in Signal case to preserve messages

A judge ordered the defendants in the Signal case to “preserve all Signal communications between March 11 and March 15.” Defendants include CIA Director John Ratcliffe, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard and the National Archives.
President Donald Trump announced he was pulling the nomination of Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., to be U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, citing concerns about the House’s slim margin to enact his legislative agenda.
The Department of Health and Human Services announced plans to cut 10,000 more employees.
Trump is scheduled to sign more executive orders after taking actions this week to issue new tariffs on automobile imports and require voters to provide proof of citizenship.
