There are certain items that are not eligible for the bulk cleanup in late April and early May.

It’s time for spring cleaning and the City of Rehoboth is prepared to assist its residents.

The city’s annual free bulk pickup is occurring next month, from Monday, April 28 to Friday, May 2 (southside, Schoolvue, and Scarborough Avenue Ext.) and from Monday, May 5 to Friday, May 9 (northside).

As a special service to residents, the City of Rehoboth Beach provides an annual spring bulk pickup service, during which time residential property owners may discard furniture, certain appliances, e-waste, and other large, bulky items free of charge.

City crews will pick up items daily throughout the work week in the designated areas.

To ensure proper disposal, residents are asked to follow these instructions:

  • Place materials at the curb no more than 24 hours before pickup is scheduled.
  • Place materials in front of your property line and on the same side of the street.
  • Keep the bulk items pile clear of other objects, including cars.
  • Do not block sidewalks or traffic lanes.

Residents may request a special bulk pickup during other times of the year for a minimum fee of $75 by calling 302-227-6181, ext. 123.

The city asks that residents do not set out household items for pick up unless for the Spring Bulk Pickup or if they’ve scheduled a special pickup with the city or a private provider.

Accepted bulk items

  • Appliances*
  • e-waste (e.g., televisions and computer monitors)
