Goldey-Beacom reaffirms accreditation with Middle States Commission through 2032

Goldey-Beacom College has successfully reaffirmed its accreditation through the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) for the next seven years, the school announced.

The MSCHE accreditation team, which conducted a thorough review, praised Goldey-Beacom for significant operational changes, including reorganization and program development since 2019.

Dr. Colleen Perry Keith, President of Goldey-Beacom College, expressed her pride in the institution’s achievements.

“With this reaffirmation of the College’s accreditation, Goldey-Beacom College has now been continuously accredited for the past 49 years,” she said. “Since our first accreditation in 1976, we have remained committed to delivering high-quality academic programs, and we are proud to see that our work continues to be recognized by our regional accreditor.”

Highlights from Goldey-Beacom

The college was commended for its support of faculty development and engagement.

Initiatives such as professional development opportunities, tiered compensation structures, and inclusion of part-time faculty in faculty assemblies were highlighted as key mechanisms through which the school fosters an inclusive academic environment.

The accreditation process involved a rigorous self-study and a site visit from the MSCHE team.

Goldey-Beacom College, which first earned accreditation in 1976, has maintained its status through continuous self-assessment and improvement efforts.

The MSCHE, an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education, ensures the quality and accountability of higher education institutions across the globe.

Founded in 1886, Goldey-Beacom enrolls approximately 1,300 students from 29 states and 65 countries.

The college offers 48 degree programs, including majors in business, economics, psychology, and criminal justice.

Recently, it expanded its academic offerings with new degree programs in human resource management, as well as fully online options for several graduate and undergraduate degrees.

The college has long been known for its strong career placement rate, with a 90% placement rate for graduates, a testament to its commitment to helping students succeed professionally.

Goldey-Beacom College remains accredited by both the MSCHE and the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs, further solidifying its reputation as a leading institution of higher learning.
