A 13-year-old male from Wilmington has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting in the Kimberton neighborhood on Sunday.
The incident, which took place around 3:06 p.m., left one man dead and prompted a major investigation by the New Castle County Police Department.
Officers arrived at the scene on the 100 block of Clarion Court after reports of multiple gunshots.
Upon investigating, they found that two nearby residences had been struck by gunfire.

Authorities soon learned that a victim, later identified as 19-year-old Jahliel Jackson, had been transported to Christiana Hospital with a gunshot wound to his upper body.
Despite the hospital’s life-saving efforts, Jackson was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
Detectives from the Division’s Major Crimes Unit quickly took over the investigation, and after thorough analysis, a 13-year-old male was identified as a suspect.
The juvenile was arrested and charged with first-degree murder, possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited under 21, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
