WILMINGTON– ChristianaCare President and CEO Janice E. Nevin, M.D., MPH, has once again been honored as a top business leader by Delaware Online/The News Journal.

This marks the fifth consecutive year that Nevin has been recognized for her significant impact on Delaware’s future and her leadership in health care.

Nevin’s leadership continues to distinguish ChristianaCare as a national leader in quality and safety, health equity, virtual health, and value-based care.

Since she began her  role as President and CEO in 2014, Nevin has led ChristianaCare’s expansion across Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

Under her guidance, the health system has introduced innovative programs aimed at improving patient outcomes while reducing costs. One such initiative, Hospital Care at Home, which combines virtual and in-person care to provide treatment in a patient’s home.

“I am particularly proud of our focus on quality and safety, health equity, improving access, and driving down health care costs while increasing the value of our care,” said Nevin.

She also highlighted ChristianaCare’s Medicaid accountable care organization, which has successfully reduced spending by $6.2 million in 2023, while enhancing the quality of care for nearly 30,000 Medicaid beneficiaries.

Under Nevin’s leadership, ChristianaCare has garnered national recognition for its patient safety and quality standards, earning accolades from U.S. News & World Report, Newsweek, the American College of Surgeons, and other esteemed organizations.

“Awards and recognition are wonderful, but none of this would be possible without our great staff, who inspire me every day,” Nevin said. “Our talented caregivers are truly ChristianaCare’s greatest asset.”
