Joel Embiid has missed the last 11 games as he continues to battle with swelling in his left knee. But the 7-foot-2 center appeared to be healthy at practice Monday, when he was seen doing handstands to contest Tyrese Maxey’s shots.
Although he was a partial participant at practice, Embiid was ruled out for the Sixers’ next two home games against the Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings. The center has been dealing with multiple injuries, including knee swelling and a sprained left foot suffered during warmups before the Sixers’ Christmas Day game.
It’s been tough for Embiid and the Sixers. More than halfway through the season, Embiid has played in 13 games because of injuries, load management, and a three-game suspension. He’s averaging 24.4 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 3.8 assists
