Humble Park Place opens in Lower Market Street

WILMINGTON – Wilmington-based developer Buccini Pollin Group, Inc. is joining BPGS Construction and ResideBPG to announce the grand opening of Humble Park Place, a brand new 61-unit apartment community on Lower Market Street. 

Founder of Buccini Pollin Group Rob Buccini, and Executive Vice President of Development for BPG Michael Hare, project stakeholders gathered to cut a ceremonial ribbon in front of the building entrance at 2 West 4th Street before touring the property Friday morning.

Humble Park Place, which broke ground in Summer 2023, brought an estimated 250 construction jobs to Wilmington during the project.

Designed by Digsau, the $16 million development spans three buildings increasing from four to six stories across the site. 

The building design is sensitive to the historic characteristics in the neighborhood while still being contemporary and attractive for today’s modern renter. 

One and two-bedroom apartments feature high-end finishes and modern conveniences like quartz countertops, LVT flooring, stainless steel appliances, and in-unit washer and dryer. 

Interior units overlook a lightwell in the center of the building providing ample natural light for residents. 

Onsite amenities include a fitness center, resident lounge, and private rooftop deck.

Humble Park Place also features a lobby mural designed by artist, musician, and co-owner of Spaceboy Clothing, Dave Sanchez.

The grand opening also signifies the continued progress of the revitalization movement on Lower Market Street to further the connection between Downtown and the Riverfront. 

Located on 4th street as a major thoroughfare to interstate 95, Humble Park Place provides a new and welcoming entry into Wilmington via 4th street. 

With access to the Wilmington Train Station and Transit Center, local employment hubs, and neighborhood attractions, Humble Park Place is the ideal home for those who want to live in the center of it all.

In recent years, BPG has continued to expand its residential footprint on Lower Market Street with the addition of 41-unit apartment community Lincoln Square which opened on the 300 block in July 2022 and The Cooper, a 92-unit apartment community located on the 200 block which opened in May 2021.

To date, BPG has brought over 2,700 units to the residential market in Wilmington and has another 800 units in pre-development or construction, including its latest project The Press, which will introduce 243 units to 801 North Orange Street in Summer 2025. 

The Standard, located at Market West, will begin phase 3 of development this year to add 97 units to the already 266 apartments converted from vacant office space in the former Nemours building.
