Sussex gets new indoor pickleball courts

LEWES — Dave Marshall Tennis and Pickleball has completed construction of dedicated indoor pickleball courts, increasing recreational opportunities for Sussex County. The First State Facility will meet the needs of casual players and dedicated enthusiasts.

There are various reservation options, including membership rentals, annual contracts, pay-as-you-go and drop-in sessions. All reservations are done through a new Court Reserve app, which simplifies the reservation process.

“Our mission has always been to provide the best commercial facility for racquet sports in the region,” said Dr. Dave Marshall, founder and owner. “With the addition of these new courts, we’re creating a space for players of all levels to enjoy the fastest-growing sport in America. We’re not just building courts; we’re building a community. Pickleball is more than a sport—it’s a way to connect, compete, and stay active.

Keystone Sports Construction installed the new pickleball courts.
