The Delaware Interscholastic Football Coaches Association released their selections for the 2024 All-Class football teams as voted on by the coaches.
Sussex Central fullback Malik Bell was named to the Class 3A first team and picked as the offensive player of the year. The senior amassed more than 2,000 yards rushing for the Golden Knights. Robbie “R-J” Johnson was selected as the 3A lineman of the year, and Jase Munson of St Georges is the defensive player of the year.
State champion Caravel Academy was well represented in Class 2A, as Josh Roy and James Steel were named offensive and defensive players of the year, respectively. Cael DeNigris from DMA was tabbed as lineman of the year.
In the 1A class, Darnell Stokes and Nolan Staniszewski from state champion Indian River were selected as the offensive player and lineman of the year recipients. The defensive player of the year is Charlie Shute from Conrad.
The Coaches of the Year will be announced at the annual DIFCA banquet in early 2025.
