DIAA Field Hockey State Championship semi final scores from Division II

No. 2 Delmar defeats No. 3 Sussex Academy 3-2. Delmar needed an overtime win to advance to the state championship game as Jordyn Hollamon scored all 3 goals including the game winner. Lente Werner scored both goals for Sussex. 

 

No. 4 Wilmington Friends defeats No. 8 Lake Forest 2-1. Molly Dolan scored the game winning goal in the second overtime to advance Friend to the state championship. Lila Rubano scored the other goal for Friends. 

 

No. 2 Delmar and No. 4 Wilmington Friends will face off for the Division II State Championship this Saturday at Delaware State University’s Drass field at 1pm. 

 

Best of luck to both teams as they compete for a state championship.
