As it happened on Election Day: Trump wins Pa., Dems retain NJ, Del. Senate seats

What to Know

  • Donald Trump won the battleground state of Pennsylvania, NBC News projected. With 266 electoral votes, he is on the verge of winning the presidency for a second time as of 2:45 a.m. ET on Nov. 6.
  • The Senate race in Pennsylvania between incumbent Democrat Bob Casey and Republican Dave McCormick is still too close to call.
  • Delaware voters have again chosen Democrats in all of the major races in their state. NBC News projects that Kamala Harris has won the state’s three electoral votes, while Lisa Blunt Rochester won the U.S. Senate race and Matt Meyer won the governor’s race.
  • Democrat Andy Kim defeated Republican Curtis Bashaw for the open United States Senate seat in New Jersey and Harris won the state’s 14 electoral votes, NBC News projected.
