Dover Police Investigate South Governors Ave Homicide

Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting, that resulted in the death of a 50-year-old Dover man. The investigation began at 3:46 p.m. when the Dover Police Department received the report of shots fired in the unit block of South Governors Avenue. Officers responded and located the victim, who had sustained several gun shot wounds to his upper body. The victim was transported to an area hospital and later airlifted to Christiana Hospital for additional treatment. Sadly, the victim died as a result of the injuries sustained during this incident.

The victims name is being withheld until the family is notified.
